Plant-based commodity trading

Vegetable oils, press cake and meal for industry

We are a trading house for plant-based commodities. We source and supply food processors, biofuel producers and feed manufacturers — importing from outside the European Union and trading within it.

Applications

One commodity, three sets of requirements

A food plant, a biodiesel producer and a feed mill look at entirely different parameters. We run each of these streams separately, with the specification and documentation each one demands.

01

Food

Food-grade oils for processors, bottling plants and wholesale distribution.

  • Quality and sanitary documentation with every consignment
  • Delivery in road tankers, flexitanks and bulk packaging
  • Parameters confirmed by analysis before shipment
02

Technical

Feedstock for biofuel producers and the oleochemical industry.

  • Specification agreed against the buyer’s process
  • Documentation aligned with sustainability requirements
  • Repeat deliveries on a contracted schedule
03

Feed

Press cake and meal as protein and energy components in compound feed.

  • Consistent protein and fat content
  • Delivery in bulk, big bags or containers
  • Flexible volumes — from a single consignment to an annual contract

Products

What we trade

We work with commodities that have a genuine, repeatable market. Availability shifts with the season and the supply situation — we send the current list in response to your enquiry.

Vegetable oils

Crude and refined oils in food, technical and feed grade. Positions and parameters selected against the buyer’s specific application.

Road tanker · flexitank · container · bulk packaging

Press cake

The residue from cold pressing, retaining a higher oil content. A valued energy component in animal nutrition.

Bulk · big bag · container

Extraction meal

A high-protein commodity and a staple of compound feed formulation. Consistent parameters across successive deliveries.

Bulk · big bag · container

Trade flows

Imports from outside the EU and intra-Union trade

Two directions, two different working logics. We run both, which lets us respond when one market stops making sense on price or availability.

Imports from outside the European Union

We arrange sea freight, customs clearance and the full set of import documents. Quality is verified before loading and again on arrival at port.

Trade within the European Union

Shorter lead times and simpler paperwork. Road and rail delivery, with the option of partial shipments under a single contract.

How we work

Five steps from enquiry to delivery

For a trading house, the process is the product. Here is exactly what happens after you send an enquiry.

  1. Enquiry

You tell us the commodity, the approximate volume, the intended application and your preferred delivery terms and destination.

  2. Offer and specification

We come back with a price, parameters and a date we can hold. Where the market does not currently offer a given position, we propose an alternative.

  3. Contract

We agree delivery terms under Incoterms, payment method and timing, and the delivery schedule.

  4. Logistics and documentation

We organise transport and clearance, and compile certificates of analysis and origin along with whatever the sector requires.

  5. Delivery and settlement

The goods arrive at the agreed destination. We stay in contact through settlement and are glad to talk about the next consignment.

Quality and compliance

Experienced people, modern tools

In commodity trading, credibility is measured in documents rather than declarations. So instead of promises, we set out precisely what arrives alongside the goods.

Consignment documentation

Certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, and the sanitary and customs documents appropriate to the sector and trade flow.

Laboratory testing

Samples analysed by independent laboratories. You see the result before accepting the goods, not after.

RED III compliance

The technical stream is run in line with the RED III directive and the European Commission’s implementing acts. Food and feed fall under separate EU regimes. In each of them, compliance is a condition of entering a transaction, not a negotiating point.

Documentation chain

Every consignment has a documented path from supplier to buyer. On request, we reconstruct the chain in full.

Port terminal — container handling

Logistics

The hardest stage of a contract is one we have run many times

The transport mode follows from the commodity, the volume and the route. We have run every one of these variants repeatedly, so by the offer stage we already know what is feasible and how long it takes.

Road tankers

Bulk oil deliveries within the European Union.

Flexitanks

Oil transported in containers, including on sea routes.

Containers

Press cake and meal in big bags or bulk on deep-sea routes.

Sea freight

Imports from outside the Union, with port handling and clearance.

Incoterms

We work on recognised delivery terms — the variant is fixed in the contract.

Partial shipments

Volume spread over time instead of one large consignment.

About us

We know this market from both sides of the contract

The VireoTech team has spent years in plant-based commodity trading. We know the suppliers and what they can genuinely deliver, we know where this chain tends to break, and we recognise a properly prepared contract from its first page.

Alongside that sit the tools that let us move quickly: current reading of the market, documentation handled without delay, and contact that does not go quiet the day the contract is signed.

Commodity trading is won on quality and predictability. Price wins you a single transaction. A repeatable parameter, a date kept and clean documentation win you years.

Competence

Regulations and documentation requirements shift every season — RED III is the clearest example. We track those changes as they happen, so the answer you get is the current one.

Specifics

An offer with parameters, a date and a price. Not "we will be in touch shortly" as a reply to an enquiry.

Accountability

For documentation, deadlines and compliance. We raise a problem the moment it appears.

Questions

Before you send an enquiry

What are the minimum transaction volumes?

They depend on the commodity, the delivery format and the route. For container and tanker deliveries, a full transport unit is the reference point. Tell us the volume you have in mind and we will confirm whether we can handle it.

Which delivery terms do you work on?

Recognised Incoterms rules. The specific variant is agreed in the contract and depends on the route, the transport mode and a risk split that works for both sides.

What documentation comes with the goods?

Certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, and the sanitary and customs documents relevant to the sector. Imports from outside the Union add the full set of import paperwork.

Do you supply buyers outside Poland?

Yes. We trade across the European Union and handle correspondence and documentation in Polish, English and German.

How long does a reply to an enquiry take?

We respond within one working day. If assembling the offer needs longer, we say so straight away and give you a date.
